Sendiee Lead Capture (“the extension”) is a browser extension by Sendiee that lets you save sales leads from web pages into your Sendiee account. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles, where it goes, and what we never do with it. It supplements the Sendiee Privacy Policy, which governs data stored on the Sendiee platform.
What the extension collects and why
Your Sendiee API key. You paste a scoped API key to connect the extension to your Sendiee account. It is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local), is only ever read by the extension's background process, and is sent solely as an authorization header to the Sendiee API. It never leaves your browser for any other destination.
Lead details you choose to save.Name, phone, email, company, address, source URL, lead category, and custom attribute values shown in the capture form. These are transmitted to the Sendiee API (api.sendiee.com) over HTTPS only when you click Save / Update, and are stored in your own Sendiee account's contact manager.
On-page contact details (extraction). To pre-fill the form, the extension reads publicly visible data from the page you are viewing (structured data such as schema.org markup, tel:/mailto: links, page metadata). This happens locally in your browser, only for the page you invoke the extension on. Extracted data is shown to you for review and is not transmitted anywhere unless you click Save.
Tenant configuration.The extension fetches your organization's lead categories and custom field definitions from the Sendiee API to render the form, and caches them locally.
What the extension does not do
- No analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting of any kind.
- No browsing-history collection. Pages are read only when you invoke the extension, and only the page you're on.
- No background or bulk scraping. Extraction is on-demand and per page; social platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) are never auto-extracted.
- No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Data flows exclusively between your browser and the Sendiee API.
- No ads, no monetization of data, no use of data for AI training or creditworthiness purposes.
Where data lives
Locally:your API key, cached tenant configuration, and your preferred phone region are kept in Chrome's extension storage on your device. Remotely: leads you save are stored in your Sendiee account, governed by the Sendiee Privacy Policy. All network traffic goes exclusively to api.sendiee.com over HTTPS. The extension's interface loads fonts from Google Fonts; no personal data is included in those requests.
Retention and deletion
Disconnecting inside the extension, or uninstalling it, deletes the locally stored API key and cached configuration immediately. Leads already saved to your Sendiee account remain there and can be managed or deleted from the Sendiee dashboard. You can also revoke the extension's API key at any time from the Sendiee dashboard (Settings → API), which instantly cuts the extension's access.
Your responsibilities as a Sendiee customer
Leads you capture are personal data of your prospects. You are responsible for capturing and contacting them in compliance with the laws that apply to you (e.g. GDPR, CASL, TCPA) and with the policies of the platforms you contact them on.
Changes
If we change what data the extension handles, we will update this policy and the extension's Chrome Web Store data disclosures before the change ships.
